Next Steps After Acceptance

How will I be notified?

Accepted students will be notified by the Academic Programs Coordinator and/or by email from the AHCAS platform during the Spring of 2024.

Steps to take after being accepted:

  • Submitting an official transcript
  • Undergo a criminal background check
  • Receive required immunizations and uploading immunization records
  • Obtaining health insurance


Official Transcript

Official transcripts will be required upon admission to the MPH Program. Unofficial academic transcripts, from each college/university currently and previously attended reflecting completed and in-progress coursework may be uploaded to the application platform when applying.

Criminal Background Check

Admitted students will undergo a criminal background check through the Texas Department of Public Safety and the FBI per the School of Public Health and/or UT Health San Antonio regulatory guidelines. 


Admitted students must have their health provider confirm they have received appropriate immunizations before enrolling in classes at UT Health San Antonio. Students are required to maintain immunizations throughout the duration of the program.

During the matriculation process, admitted students will receive an email to create a Sentry MD account. You may upload your immunization records to the Secure Student Uploader. Processing can take one to two business days.

Student Health Insurance

The UT Board of Regents requires students at UT Health San Antonio to maintain a valid major medical insurance policy throughout the duration of the program. Admitted students who do not already have insurance may enroll in student health insurance through the Office of Student Life.
