Academic Coaching & Workshops

Nursing student being coached

Academic coaching offers individualized support focusing on student needs and skill development.

Academic Coaches work with students one-on-one to create customized success plans to help reach academic goals, as well as to aid them in their academic transition to the School of Nursing. Academic coaching provides the skills and strategies necessary to be a successful nursing student and develop the intellectual and personal qualities necessary for lifelong learning. Academic coaching is available for both undergraduate and graduate students at no extra cost. To schedule an appointment, please contact the Student Success Center or log in through Starfish.

Workshops are opportunities to gain new knowledge that can help your development.

In addition to coaching, Student Success Center workshops provide strategies and best practices to effectively address a variety of topics and issues in a group setting. Some of these topics include:

  • Time management
  • Study strategies
  • Test-taking
  • Reading strategies
  • Stress management
  • Resume-building, and more!

Workshops are open to all School of Nursing students and may be offered in-person or virtually.
