Texas State Nutrition CME Requirement:
Texas State Senate Bill 25, set to take effect in 2027, includes new continuing medical education (CME) requirements for nutrition. The bill mandates that healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and dietitians, complete CME in nutrition as part of their continuing education. This requirement is designed to ensure that health professionals are equipped to provide accurate nutrition information, answer patient questions, and make referrals to nutrition professionals and relevant services.
