"Fueling the Brain" An Introduction to Nutrition and Brain Health

OVERVIEW:
During the presentation, we will discuss the role of nutrition in promoting brain health among older adults. We will also review various community resources that support nutrition equity among your patient population.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
 After this presentation, you will be able to: 

  • Understand the link between nutrition and brain health.
  • Identify risk factors for dementia.
  • Describe lifestyle intervention strategies for older adults to improve brain health and cognitive wellness.
  • Bring cultural sensitivity to dietary interventions.
