The 3rd Annual South Texas Updates in Gastroenterology and Hepatology is the region's premier continuing medical education conference dedicated to advancing clinical practice across the full spectrum of gastrointestinal and liver disease. Now entering its third year, this conference has become a trusted annual gathering for gastroenterologists, hepatologists, advanced practice providers, and internists throughout South Texas and beyond.
This comprehensive course delivers a state-of-the-art review of emerging evidence, practice-changing guidelines, and evolving therapeutic strategies across upper GI, colorectal, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatic and biliary disease, and hepatology. The 2027 program introduces a dedicated pancreas and biliary session, a flexible afternoon format offering either a multi-specialty GLP-1 panel discussion or an all-hepatology session and continues the Innovation in GI lecture series. Featuring local, regional, and nationally recognized faculty, the program fosters an engaging and collegial learning environment designed to translate the latest evidence into everyday clinical practice.
