Lead with Impact in Public Health

The Master of Public Health (MPH) in Public Health Practice and Administration is a comprehensive 45-semester credit-hour program designed to prepare professionals to lead and manage public health programs and systems effectively. This program equips students with the skills to evaluate, implement, and improve public health policies and interventions, emphasizing evidence-based leadership and systems-level thinking.

Students gain expertise in the principles of public health management, quality improvement, and the administration of health systems. The curriculum focuses on addressing the unique challenges of South Texas. Through 180 hours of applied practice and integrative learning experiences, students apply their knowledge to real-world operational and community contexts, ensuring hands-on readiness for the field.

  • A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in the United States or proof of an equivalent degree from a foreign institution

  • Interview with UT San Antonio School of Public Health’s Admissions Committee
