She is double board certified in adult and child psychiatry, with 13 years of experience in child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Sandoval has experience working in the community with underserved/underrepresented populations. Her clinical interests are in trauma/PTSD.

Providing cost-free therapy for teens, ages 10-17, who have experienced a trauma or significant life stress and are having difficulties such as trouble sleeping, upsetting memories, irritability, or other symptoms. Therapy is provided for 18 weeks, by licensed clinicians who are specialized in treating traumatic stress.  The research aspect of the program is that we are using MRI scans to study how brain activity improves during therapy. MRI is a safe medical procedure that has NO radiation, blood draws, or injections. Compensation is provided for the MRIs, questionnaires and interviews.
