My Role with Students and Residents at Long School of Medicine
I am a mentor to students across interdisciplinary fields and at all different stages of their career development. I have a passion for mentoring students of diverse backgrounds, and I love sharing my passion for community-based work. Overall, my students and I work closely to build bridges and outreach for underserved communities through different service learning projects.
Three Fun Facts About Me
1. I am a Mexican immigrant who married at age 16, had two kids by the time I was 19, quit high school to become a housewife, and came to the U.S. without speaking English and with only $ 500 . . . Life is interesting!
2. I love bachata dancing and not to long ago I was competing on a dance team.
3. My statistician is my daughter!
