A faculty committee within the School of Health Professions developed a new program for students -, Distinction in Research, . This program allows students interested in research to work with a faculty mentor on an independent research project while also interacting and learning from faculty researchers within the School of Health Professions. This program may interest those who want to pursue a career in academia or apply to other advanced degree programs. , This unique distinction will be highlighted in your graduation commencement program., Requirements to enter the program are listed below;, Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 throughout the program The research mentor must be a UTHSCSA faculty member Only one student is accepted per SHP program Attendance at SHP research lunch and learns and the SHP research retreat Abstract submission and acceptance to conference (state, national or international) Present research overview at the SHP Distinction Committee meeting Email the completed form…
