UT Health San Antonio graduates from the School of Dentistry, School of Nursing, Long School of Medicine and Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences participated in the centuries-old hooding ceremony tradition to celebrate the culmination of their studies.
“The achievements of these graduates mirror in so many ways the substantial advances of our UT Health San Antonio enterprise. The students are vital to our success, fundamental to how we are defined, and truly, an inspiration for our faculty and staff,” said William L. Henrich, MD, MACP, president of UT Health San Antonio.
Memorial Day is a time for backyard barbecues, pool parties and time spent with family and friends. Most importantly, it is a time to remember the heroism of the men and women who died in military service, who died with the unwavering belief in a larger cause, something bigger than oneself: To love and protect one’s country.

Connective Tissue, UT Health San Antonio’s student-run literature and arts journal, published its 2022 issue on May 18. The journal has showcased the artistic talents of students, staff and faculty for 14 years, and serves as a much-needed creative outlet for students and providers to process their unique, often difficult experiences in health care.
