Zambian Clinical Immersion Experience
Global Health Programs

Each year, DNP students and faculty have the opportunity to participate in a transformative 15-day clinical immersion experience to Zambia, Africa, coordinated by Professor Kenneth Miller.
Over the course of two weeks, students engage in hands-on, culturally immersive clinical practice in a resource-limited international setting, applying advanced practice competencies while gaining a profound global health perspective. The experience challenges students to adapt their clinical skills, collaborate across cultural and systemic boundaries, and reflect on healthcare disparities and access in ways that extend far beyond the traditional classroom.
This immersion is a hallmark of the DNP program's commitment to developing compassionate, globally informed nurse leaders prepared to address complex health challenges across populations.
