Course Description

This course will describe the etiology and presentation and management of pediatric heart patients with Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) and Heart failure.

Target Audience

This activity is designed to meet the educational goals of physicians specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric patients.

Learning Objectives

  • Define MIS-C and pediatric heart failure
  • List a differential diagnosis of pediatric heart failure
  • Describe the examination and evaluation of the pediatric patient with MIS-C and pediatric heart failure
  • Describe the medical management of MIS-C and pediatric heart failure
  • Describe procedural and surgical treatment options for pediatric cardiac patients
