Interview Process

MD PHD Students

Interviews

STX-MSTP interviews are held virtually via Zoom. 

If you are selected to interview with our program, you will be notified via email (the email address provided on your AMCAS application). Please make sure to periodically check your spam folder for emails regarding your application status. Applicants will be invited on a rolling basis between August and December. Interview dates will be September through February; we will provide exact dates to applicants who are offered an interview. Interviews are a combined effort with the Long School of Medicine and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in an intensive 2-day setting on a Thursday and Friday. Email invitations will provide a link to select your interview date and to provide supplemental information for interview personalization (i.e. potential research faculty and research disciplines).  

Interview Agenda

All interviews will include the following elements (virtually):

  • Chalk Talk
  • Interviews with faculty and students
  • Overviews of the LSOM & GSBS
  • Social with students

Each applicant who is scheduled to interview will be sent their personalized agenda with exact times and Zoom meeting links no later than the Friday before your interview dates (5:00 pm CST).
