Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD)

Occupational therapy is a vital, evidence-based health profession that addresses the needs of individuals, communities, and populations. Occupational therapists work with people across the lifespan to support their ability to participate in meaningful living activities—or occupations.  The  OTD degree program at UT Health San Antonio is an exciting curriculum that prepares graduates to be highly skilled and compassionate practitioners. Some strengths of the OT program include its affordable tuition; being part of an academic health center; and being located in vibrant, diverse San Antonio.

Our entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) is designed to educate future occupational therapists to be leaders in the profession and health care. The OTD curriculum provides students with hands-on learning supported by theory and evidence-based practice so they are ready to excel in any practice setting they choose upon graduation.
