SANA Support Group
San Antonio Network for Aphasia (SANA)
Do you or your loved one have aphasia? You are not alone.
Aphasia is a common communication disorder that affects about 2 million people in the United States. Aphasia can happen suddenly, such as after stroke or brain injury, or develop slowly over time, such as with primary progressive aphasia.
The purpose of the SANA support group is:
- To offer a welcoming, in-person community for people with aphasia and their loved ones
- To create ways for people with aphasia and their families to connect and engage with each other.
The SANA support group meets:
- The first Thursday of each month during the academic calendar:
- 6:00p.m. - 7:30 p.m. CST
- September - December and February - May (no meetings January, June-August)
- Pre-registration is not required.
