Hema Manogna Gudlavalleti, M.S.

Ph.D. Student

Hema is researching the the cleavage and turnover of Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) stress sensing protein "PERK." Using cell biology, molecular and biochemical methods , Hema is characterizing the molecular processes involved in PERK turnover and cleavage and trying to understand how it affects ER associated unfolded protein response and subsequent neurodegeneration associated with "Tau" protein.
