Price comparison

All practices at UT Dentistry charge service fees. However, fees for some practices are priced well below what you would pay at a private practice.

At our Teaching Practice, patients will pay a low-cost screening fee to determine if your dental needs can be served by the pre-doctoral students. Appointment lengths are longer as students are being supervised every step of the way by faculty members who are experts in their field. In exchange for an extra investment of time, fees are, on average, 60 percent lower than private practice, but vary by procedure.

Our Resident Practices offers dental care by residents, who are licensed dentists pursuing advanced training in specialty care. Fees are about 33 percent lower than private practice but vary by procedure.

Our Faculty Practices offers board-certified, licensed dentists who are experts in their field teaching the next generation of dental professionals at the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. Fees are similar to those of private practice and vary by procedure.

Fees will vary based on the complexity of the procedure and the amount of time needed to provide the highest quality of care. For more information on all of our provider levels or to see which practice best meets your time and budget visit our Make an Appointment page today.
