Join UT Dentistry for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Join UT Dentistry every Friday in October and wear your pink!
Why do we wear pink?
UT Dentistry is wearing pink as a tribute to breast cancer survivors, in support of those currently battling the disease and to remember loved ones lost, while also raising awareness about the importance of early breast cancer detection and funds for breast cancer research and care.
How to participate
As part of UT Dentistry’s Breast Cancer Awareness initiative, we invite our UT Health San Antonio family, patients and community members to join us! Wear your pink, visit us and add a ribbon or a message to our tribute tree, raise awareness and donate to support breast cancer research and treatment.
- Donate to breast cancer research and treatment: Nothing is too small. Please join us in raising funds for UT Health San Antonio Mays Cancer Center breast cancer research. This fund supports scientific inquiry and innovation in breast cancer research. Donate any amount using this link to give to the Breast Cancer Research and Treatment Fund.
- Add your tribute: Visit UT Dentistry at the Center for Oral Health Care and Research to add your tribute to our Breast Cancer Tribute Tree. The live oak tribute tree will be planted in front of the clinics at the end of the month.
- Wear pink: Whether you’ve been personally affected or want to show your support for breast cancer fighters and survivors in our community, wear pink on Fridays and raise awareness about the importance of breast cancer prevention and early detection.
- Survivor & Remembrance Photo: Friday, October 24, at noon, breast cancer survivors, "warriors" and those who remember loved ones lost to breast cancer, gather at the Tribute Tree for photos.
Together, we can make a difference.
