UT Health San Antonio is the official local sports medicine provider for the XFL and San Antonio Brahmas, the city’s XFL football team. 

UT Health San Antonio’s Katherine Bartush, MD, head orthopaedic surgeon, and Ken O. Kenneth-Nwosa, MD, head team physician, lead the local medical team for the Brahmas and the XFL. They are joined by orthopaedic surgeons Thomas DeBerardino, MD, and Phillip Jacobs, MD.

The UT Health San Antonio sports medical team has provided care for the athletes at home games throughout the season, ensuring the health and safety of each player.  Cheer on your favorite Sports Medicine providers who will be on the field on May 13 for the championship game treating the athletes as needed.
