Difficulty concentrating, headaches and trouble sleeping are some of the burdens that children may suffer after having a concussion. 

A new study published in JAMA Network Open suggests that children who return to school within 2 days of their concussion have improved symptoms. Caitlyn Mooney, MD, pediatrician and sports medicine specialist explains that returning to school can be a complicated issue for children and decisions should be individualized for each the child's specific needs.
