Expand the personal space; Simple Social Distancing
Dr. Fred Campbell, an internal medicine specialist with UT Health San Antonio explains what social distancing means and why it is so vital to fight COVID-19. We can all do our part to help slow down this disease.
"It is very serious to undertake social distancing and use common sense," he said. "Social distancing may make the difference between the COVID-19 virus overwhelming our health care system in the United States and being able to handle any serious cases that we have."
Social distancing, however, does not necessarily mean people need to be in their homes 100% of the time. Activities that do not involve close contact with others, such as walking your dog or biking, are perfectly acceptable.
