Bacteria causing stomach bug is resisting antibiotics

The CDC is urging frequent hand washing to help prevent the spread of a serious strain of Shigella. Shigella is a bacteria that is responsible for a serious stomach bug that causes cramps and diarrhea.  This newest strain of Shigella bacteria is concerning doctors because of its resistance to common antibiotics. The best way to keep you and your loved ones healthy is to wash your hands frequently.
