Peer Assisted Learning Session (PALS) is an academic support program that utilizes weekly peer-assisted study sessions. PALS sessions are regularly-scheduled, informal content review sessions in which students compare notes, discuss readings, develop organizational tools, and predict questions. Students learn how to integrate course content and study skills while working in a collaborative environment. The sessions are facilitated by PALS leaders, students who have previously mastered the course with a 90% or better, and who meet with the professor from the course, review notes, and are model students.
