Institutional accreditation

The University of Texas at San Antonio is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral degrees. The University of Texas at San Antonio also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. As stated on their website, “It is important to emphasize that this change does not affect the accreditation status of any member institution” including UT San Antonio. Throughout UT San Antonio’s and the Health Science Center’s websites, you may also see the organization referenced as “The Commission,” “CC&U,” or "SACSCOC."

The University of Texas at San Antonio Health Science Center is an approved, off-campus instructional site of UT San Antonio where >= 50% or more of academic programs are offered.

Professional accreditation

The Master of Science (MS) education program in Speech-language Pathology (residential) at The University of Texas at San Antonio is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard, #310, Rockville, MD 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700.
