School of Dentistry appoints Lea El Hachem, DDS, MS, FICD, as Assistant Dean for Student Affairs

Lea El Hachem, DDS, MS, FICD, has stepped into a new role as assistant dean for student affairs at the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry, effective July 1.

Hachem is a dedicated member of our community, known for her commitment to student success and her passion for advancing dental education. In her new role, she will oversee student support services, guide academic and professional development initiatives, and continue fostering an enriching environment for our dental students.

With a background in dental student education as an associate professor and pre-doctoral program director in the Department of Periodontics, Hachem brings a wealth of experience and insight into this position. Her leadership will be instrumental in enhancing the student experience and ensuring that our school remains a national leader in dental education.
