The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) is dedicated to the research mission of UT Health San Antonio. The OVPR Internal Funding Program furthers the research mission and supports the research enterprise at UT Health San Antonio. The program was established to advance research, increase visibility, create collaborations, and enable discovery and innovation. The Internal Funding Program offers award opportunities for faculty across our schools, departments, centers and institutes.

The Research Advancement, Innovation and Discovery funding program provides investigators with funding to address, sustain, accelerate, or explore opportunities related to their research program or shared resources.
Grant and Publication Support
The Grant and Publication Support program provides researchers with support for costs associated with preparing external grant applications or manuscripts for publication.
Research Dissemination and Networking
The Research Dissemination and Networking program provides faculty with funding support for UT Health San Antonio sponsored events (i.e. symposium, conference, or meetings) to promote research dissemination, enhance visibility, and advance collaborative endeavors.
