BSN to DNP
The BSN to DNP program is designed for nurses who already hold a bachelor's degree in nursing. Post BSN nurses can choose from Advanced Practice tracks to include Adult Gerontology - Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care (PNP-PC), or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Requirements:
- BSN from a nationally accredited school of nursing (ACEN, NLNAC, CCNE)
- RN licensure in Texas or compact state license
- 3.0 minimum GPA from last 60 hours of college coursework
- Three professional references
- A completed NursingCAS application
- $45 School of Nursing Application Fee (non-refundable)

BSN to DNP - Nurse Anesthesia
The nurse anesthesia program is a 3-year, full-time program that spans 108 credit hours and is designed to integrate nursing science, ethics, and biophysical, psychosocial, and analytical knowledge. The program aims to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to offer safe, individualized, culturally competent anesthesia care across all age groups. Requirements:
- BSN degree from a CCNE, ACEN, or NLNAC accredited program
- GPA from Last 60 Hours of College Coursework: 3.0
- Math and Science Prerequisite Courses
- GRE requirement: Graduate Record Examination (GRE) taken within five years of preceding application
- Current licensure as an RN in Texas or hold a compact license with multi-state privileges that includes Texas
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
- Minimum one year work experience in critical care as a registered nurse, two years preferred
- CRNA shadowing experiencing form
- Three professional references
- CV or Résumé
- For international students, TOEFL is required
Post-MSN DNP
This program is designed for nurses who already hold a master’s degree in nursing. Post MSN nurses can choose from leadership tracks in Advanced Practice Leadership (APL), and Executive Administrative Management (EAM). Part-time and full-time study options are available. Requirements:
- MSN from a nationally accredited school of nursing (ACEN, NLNAC, CCNE)
- RN licensure in Texas or compact state license
- 3.0 minimum GPA from last 60 hours of college coursework
- Three professional references
- A completed NursingCAS application
- $45 School of Nursing Application Fee (non-refundable)

- Proof of current national certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (for Advanced Practice Leadership track only)
