Program Information

The School of Nursing offers a variety of post master’s specializations. MSN-prepared nurses interested in obtaining a Post-Graduate Certificate may select from the following areas of specialization:

  • Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care
  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

Total semester credit hours required for the Post-Graduate Certificate vary by track. Sample degree plans are available on the UT Health San Antonio catalog.

Admissions

Deadline: August 1

The School of Nursing admits students to the Post-Graduate Certification program every spring. The application and all transcripts must be received by NursingCAS by the deadline. Applicants must follow the application instructions for the School of Nursing as well as all NursingCAS procedures. Apply here.
