BSN to DNP-Nurse Anesthesia Admissions
Admission Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from a nationally accredited nursing program (ACEN, NLNAC, or CCNE)
- Current, valid RN license in Texas or a compact state that includes Texas
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 for the last 60 credit hours of college coursework (evaluated in chronological order)
- Minimum Science GPA of 3.0
- A minimum of one-year critical care experience as an RN
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) taken within the past five years
-Minimum Analytical Writing score of 3.5
-Send official score report to code 7616 – UT San Antonio School of Nursing NursingCAS - Completion of the following courses, each with a grade of B or higher and worth at least 3 semester credit hours:
-Statistics
-Organic Chemistry or Biochemistry (completed within the last 5 years, lab not required) - Three professional references (submitted through the NursingCAS application).
- Complete the writing sample via the Kira Talent platform (embedded within the NursingCAS application)
- Complete and upload the following forms to the application. You must use the templates provided.

Application and Fee
Application deadline: January 2
A completed NursingCAS application must be submitted before the application deadline. Admission staff review and the top applicants are invited to interview and submit a writing sample. All fees are accessed through the NursingCAS application. The School of Nursing Application Fee is $45 and is non-refundable. The NursingCAS fee is separate and is set by NursingCAS.
Transcripts
The admissions application, NursingCAS fee, and official transcripts are due to NursingCAS by the application deadline. Please submit official transcripts of all attended schools to:
