BSN to DNP-Nurse Anesthesia admission requirements:
- BSN degree from a CCNE, ACEN, or NLNAC accredited program.
- Current licensure as an RN in Texas or hold a compact license with multi-state privileges that includes Texas.
- GPA from Last 60 Hours of College Coursework: 3.0.
- GRE requirement: Graduate Record Examination (GRE) taken within 5 years of preceding application.
- Three professional references.
- For international students, TOEFL minimum requirements: Paper examination: 550 or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score minimum: 6.5, taken within the last 2 years.
- A completed basic statistics course with a grade of 'B' or higher taken within the last 5 years.
- A completed Organic Chemistry or Biochemistry course with a grade of 'B' or higher taken within the last 5 years.
- Minimum one year work experience in critical care as a registered nurse, two years preferred.
- Employment Verification Form
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
- CRNA Shadowing Experience Form

Application and Fee
Application deadline: April 1
- A completed NursingCAS application must be submitted before the application deadline. Admission staff review and the top applicants are invited to interview and submit a writing sample. All fees are accessed through the NursingCAS application. The School of Nursing Application Fee is $45 and is non-refundable. The NursingCAS fee is separate and is set by NursingCAS.
Transcripts
The admissions application, NursingCAS fee, and official transcripts are due to NursingCAS by the application deadline. Please submit official transcripts of all attended schools to:
