Physical Therapy program alumnae featured in Mission magazine

Health Science Center alumnae, Tracey Fontenot ’96, and Kacey Wernli ’94, were featured in the latest issue of Mission magazine in an article that highlighted their organization, Kinetic Kids. Kinetic Kids is a nonprofit organization that offers sports and recreation activities for children with disabilities and special needs. Kinetic Kids offers 106 sports and recreation programs like swimming, music, wheelchair tennis, gymnastics, music and cheerleading to over 1,800 children in our community.

“We feel like the benefits of Kinetic Kids go beyond the health benefits. As they are out there participating in sports, they are also building relationships with people. They are having to take their turn and wait in line and do the things that other kids are doing in recreational sports," said Wernli ’94.
