Physical therapy professor selected for 2026 Presidential Excellence Award

Department of Physical Therapy Assistant Professor Anjali Sivaramakrishnan, PT, PhD, is a recipient of a 2026 Presidential Excellence Award for Teaching Excellence – Emerging.

“Receiving the Teaching Excellence – Emerging award is very meaningful to me because it affirms my commitment to creating a learning environment that is rigorous and evidence-based, yet student centered,” Sivaramakrishnan said. “This recognition reflects the support of my colleagues and the trust that students place in me as a mentor. It motivates me to continue advancing educational excellence in preparing the next generation of skilled health care professionals.”

Sivaramakrishnan joined the Department of Physical Therapy faculty in 2020 and is co- director of the Motor Neuromuscular Exercise Rehabilitation (MOVER) Lab in the School of Health Professions.

Presidential Excellence Award recipients will be honored at a dinner in April.
