Translating research findings into clinical practice can be very slow. Practice-based research networks (PBRNs) can speed up this process by investigating real-world questions in the practice setting. We have two different PBRNs, the Southwest Region of the National Dental PBRN and The South Texas Oral Health Network (STOHN), both funded by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research and the National Institutes of Health. Member practitioners are engaged from study development to in-office data collection.
