Sahana Jayakumar, M.S.
Ph.D. Student
About Me
Sahana, originally from India, earned a master’s degree from UTSA. After completing her studies, she worked at the Texas Biomedical Research Institute, where she gained experience in molecular biology and immunology.
Research Topic
Sahana's research is focused on tumor immunology, specifically investigating the mechanisms governing CD8 T cells within the tumor microenvironment. Understanding how these tumor-infiltrating T cells is crucial, as it holds the potential to significantly enhance immunotherapy efficacy and advance the development of more effective cancer treatments.
