Research Topic

Candida auris is a multidrug-resistant fungal pathogen. The Wickes laboratory has previously created an Agrobacterium tumefaciens Ti plasmid encoded with a nourseothricin resistance gene (NAT1) and a C. albicans promotor to transform wildtype C. auris.  Julianna's project involves characterizing antifungal resistance in Candida auris with Agrobacterium insertional mutagenesis.
