Physical therapists are THE EXPERTS in preventing, examining, and treating patients with movement disorders due to neurologic, musculoskeletal, or cardiopulmonary dysfunction. Our nationally and internationally recognized faculty are dedicated to ensure student success in becoming the best in preventing, examining, and providing interventions for their clients with movement dysfunction due to injury or disease.
Our Doctor of Physical Therapy Program consists of outstanding curriculum that is augmented with topics in critical thinking, systems review, diagnostic procedures, and care throughout the lifespan. We also offer a Transitional DPT for practicing physical therapists who graduated with a Master of Bachelor of Physical Therapy degree as their entry-level professional degree. Our curriculum provides every opportunity for students to succeed in being lifelong learners, critical thinkers, evidence-based practitioners, and the best provider of care in a direct access environment.
Graduates of our program have been providing exceptional service to citizens across Texas and the United States since 1980. Our graduates achieved an overall pass rate of 99% on the licensing exam for the past several years. Our alumni association is very active in providing support to our students and graduates with scholarships, activities, and opportunities throughout the year.
