Full-Time, Clinical Instructor or Assistant Professor/Clinical

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA), School of Health Professions-Department of Emergency Health Sciences, is recruiting for a full-time faculty position to be filled as an Lecturer, Clinical Instructor, or Assistant Professor/Clinical appointed faculty academic rank and title commensurate with experience and/or education; primary duties will consist of field evaluation, phone and/or radio consultation with EMS field personnel, and classroom instruction of emergency medical personnel. Requirements for the position: Texas Certified/Licensed Paramedic or Registered Nurse; 3 years emergency/critical care or 911 pre-hospital experience; 2 years of teaching experience. Prefer Bachelor’s Degree, Texas EMS or NAEMSE Instructor certification, BCLS/ ACLS, PHTLS Instructor certification.

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA), School of Health Professions-Department of Emergency Health Sciences, is recruiting for six full-time or part-time faculty positions to be filled as a Lecturer or Specialist, appointed faculty academic rank and title commensurate with experience and/or education. Primary duties include classroom instruction, clinical preceptor activities and skills lab instruction for all levels of EMT students/healthcare professional activities. Requirements for these positions are: Current Texas EMT-P certification or licensure; AHA certifications in BLS, PALS and ACLS; 2 years EMS teaching experience/2 years emergency pre-hospital or emergency department experience. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree, Texas EMS Instructor certification, BCLS/ACLS/PALS, PHTLS, and PEPP Instructor certifications.

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA), Department of Emergency Health Sciences, is recruiting for a full-time faculty position to be filled as a Lecturer, Clinical Instructor, or Assistant Professor/Clinical, appointed faculty academic rank and title commensurate with experience and/or education. Primary duties include: classroom and web-based instruction; clinical supervision of EMT and Paramedic students; teaching AHA life-support courses; and testing EMS skills using criteria from NREMT. Some evening and/or weekend work may be necessary. Requirements for this position: Current DSHS and/or NREMT Paramedic certification; Texas EMS-Instructor certification preferred; 2 yrs formal teaching exp.; 3 yrs in advance pre-hospital or hospital emergency care. Masters degree preferred or equivalent experience.
