Special Award for Heroism This special award, given for the first time at this year’s ceremony, will be bestowed only when a Health Science Center employee’s heroic actions warrant special recognition from the president. This award honors those who go above and beyond the call of duty to perform various actions which positively impact the safety and health of their colleagues.
