Playing patient
Wei-Fu Tan, a freshman at Health Careers High School, experiences a pretend PET scan "administered" by Dr. Lawrence Parsons, Research Imaging Center. Dr. Parsons told Tan and other students that the PET scanner is used for various brain studies, including research of the effects of methadone and heroin, and investigation of how drug interaction with the brain produces pleasure or hallucination.
