Cigarroa to speak at Arthritis Foundation event
Dr. Francisco G. Cigarroa, Health Science Center president, will be a guest speaker at the Arthritis Foundation's Humanitarian of the Year Awards Ceremony to be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Omni Hotel, 9821 Colonnade Blvd.
Dr. Cigarroa will join fellow speakers Dr. Buckner Fanning, retired pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, and the Honorable Nelson Wolf, Bexar County judge, and the community in honoring Charles Amato, chairman and CEO of Southwest Business Corp. Amato is this year's recipient of the Arthritis Foundation's Humanitarian of the Year Award. The Honorable Cyndi Taylor Krier, UT System regent and vice president of governmental relations for USAA, and Joe Krier, president and CEO of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, will emcee the event.
The Arthritis Foundation is the only nationwide, nonprofit health organization leading efforts to prevent, control and cure arthritis and related diseases.
