Dental Science Symposium scheduled for March 20
The Health Science Center community is invited to attend the 20th annual Dental Science Symposium Wednesday, March 20, on campus. Poster presentation will begin at 9 a.m. in the Briscoe Library foyer while oral presentations will take place in room 3.670U in the Dental School. Cash awards will be presented to the most outstanding postdoctoral and predoctoral presentations.
The symposium, sponsored by the chapter of the American Association for Dental Research (AADR), highlights the achievements of Dental School faculty and students, and gives all faculty and students at the UTHSC the opportunity to share current research.
Dr. J. Ricardo Martinez, associate director for program development at the National Institute for Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), will deliver the keynote address at 3 p.m. in lecture hall 3.102B near the library. He will discuss the current direction of the NIDCR and will provide insight into some of the changes that members of the academic dental community will face in the future. A reception will immediately follow.
For more information, contact Dr. David Cappelli, president-elect of the local AADR, at ext. 7-3186 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
