Applications invited for respiratory care program
Are you looking for an exciting and dynamic career? Perhaps you should consider a career as a respiratory therapist. The respiratory therapist is the health professional who cares for patients with heart and lung problems.
The School of Allied Health Sciences is accepting applications through May 15 for the bachelor of science degree program in respiratory care. The next academic year begins in August.
The respiratory care program at the Health Science Center recently was recognized as one of the best in the country. Graduates have achieved a 100 percent pass rate on their licensure exams and a 100 percent job placement rate.
The demand for respiratory therapists is expected to increase 42.6 percent through the year 2008, and salaries are competitive with those of other health professionals.
