(L-R) Rosario Mendez, Anna Schants, Gretchen Schants and Dr. Dean Troyer, professor in the department of pathology, are the proud first-place winners in the "traditional" division of the pathology department's annual holiday door-decorating contest. Twins Anna and Gretchen spent one month creating the stuffed elves, the signs and the workshop table for their entry "Santa's Workshop." The door is located at the entrance of the SABOR lab, room 340B of the School of Medicine. The door to the fungus lab, room 314D, was the first-place winner in the "creative use of discarded materials or natural products" division. The electron microscopy lab door to room 322C won first place in the "patriotic division" and the staff members of the histology lab in room 325C earned the grand champion ribbon for their creation "The True Meaning of Christmas."
