Explore topics in access, health care, learning, publishing, research at 'EXPO 2001'
The event kicks off Feb. 28 with a presentation by Dr. Hal Berghel, professor and chair of the department of computer science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He will discuss "A 'Futurist' Perspective on e-Health care, Education and Technology." A reception will follow. Dr. Berghel is a fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). He has twice been selected as ACM Lecturer of the Year and was awarded the ACM Distinguished Service Award in 1996. He also served as co-founder and director of the University of Arkansas center for artificial intelligence and expert systems and has been an IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Distinguished Visitor. He has been published extensively in cyberspace as well as in many scientific and technical publications.
