Blankmeyer honored as fellow
The Bexar County Psychology Association has named Dr. Bonnie Blankmeyer, clinical professor of psychiatry, as a fellow. The honor recognizes her longstanding contributions to psychology in the community.
"The association provides a place for continuing education and a referral service for interdisciplinary projects within the community," Dr. Blankmeyer said. "Psychologists have the opportunity to learn and receive feedback from their peers. It is an honor for me to be named a fellow."
Dr. Blankmeyer became a member of the association in 1985. She has been a faculty member at the Health Science Center for the past 29 years. In addition to teaching, she directs the eating disorders program and serves as director of the Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action office for the five schools of the Health Science Center.
Dr. Blankmeyer also serves on the Americans with Disabilities Act Advisory Committee for the Bexar County Commissioners Court and reviews programs for the United Way.
