Dr. Richardson to speak at luncheon
The Southwest Foundation has selected Dr. Arlan Richardson, professor in the department of physiology, to speak at its Fall Lecture Luncheon. The foundation primarily supports the biomedical industry and hosts two luncheons for its members each year.
Dr. Richardson's presentation, titled "To Age or Not to Age: A 21st Century Question," will address the recent discoveries on the aging process and age-related disease.
Dr. Richardson is an internationally renowned aging researcher. He directs the Aging Research and Education Center at the UTHSC, and the Nathan Shock Center of Excellence in the Basic Biology of Aging. He also is a career research scientist with the South Texas Veterans Health Care System, Audie Murphy Division
The luncheon is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Nov. 28 at the Argyle.
