Center for Biomedical Neuroscience to hold first retreat Nov. 29
The Center for Biomedical Neuroscience (CBN) at the Health Science Center will hold its first retreat for interested faculty and staff. The retreat will take place from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29.
Registration for the CBN poster session begins at 12:30 p.m. in the auditorium foyer. At 1:15 p.m. in room 409L, Dr. Arthur W. Toga, professor of neurology, director of the laboratory of neuroimaging and co-director of the division of brain mapping at the University of California at Los Angeles School of Medicine, will give the opening lecture. Dr. Toga will discuss "Mapping Brain Structure and Function in Health and Disease."
Poster presentations at 2:30 and at 4 p.m. in the auditorium foyer will feature the neuroscience expertise of UTHSC faculty. More than 60 posters will be presented. Information on the CBN also will be available. A wine and cheese reception will follow at 5 p.m. For more information, call ext. 7-4205.
