Primary care research conference on the horizon
Registration is now open for all physicians and residents planning to attend the 16th annual Primary Care Research Methods and Statistics Conference.
The conference is scheduled for Nov. 30 through Dec. 2 at the Menger Hotel, 204 Alamo Plaza, in downtown San Antonio.
This year's theme is "Translating Research into Practice." The conference is designed to encourage novice researchers to develop basic skills for primary care research, and to allow experienced investigators to expand their repertoire of research techniques.
The UTHSC department of family and community medicine is sponsoring the seminar. The North American Primary Care Research Group, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, the Society of General Internal Medicine and the Ambulatory Pediatric Association endorse the event. Physicians and residents can earn credit hours for attending.
All participants must register in advance. The registration fee is $195 before Nov. 23, or $235 after Nov. 23. Special fees have been arranged for fellows at $120/$145 and residents at $70. Fellows and residents must provide written verification for the discounted fee. To find out more information or to register for the seminar, contact the office of continuing medical education at ext. 7-4444.
