Dr. Pollock takes helm at Center for Epidemiology and Biostatistics

Wartman (left), executive vice president for academic and health affairs and dean of the School of Medicine, and Dr. Anthony Infante (right), associate dean for research for the School of Medicine and interim director of the Children's Cancer Research Center, welcome Dr. Brad Pollock, professor of pediatrics, as the new director of the Center for Epidemiology and Biostatistics during a reception in his honor. The center is a collaboration between the Children's Cancer Research Center and the San Antonio Cancer Institute. The goals of the center are to develop epidemiology research programs and to provide biostatistics support for cancer center programs. Dr. Pollock's primary research focus is the epidemiology, prevention and control of childhood cancer.
