Book Fair, M&M sales to benefit Gifts for Children
Have you done your holiday shopping yet? If not, then you might want to get started at the upcoming Book Fair to be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 and 2 in the student snack area in the Medical School building. Choose from books on a variety of subjects for adults and children of all ages. Music CDs, art supplies and other knickknacks could make perfect gifts for special people in your life.
Those who have a craving for candy might enjoy getting a bag of delicious M&M candies. Representatives from the Gifts for Children annual toy drive are selling the candies for $1 a bag. Plain or peanut M&Ms can be purchased at various departments throughout campus.
Proceeds from the Book Fair and M&M sales will support the annual Gifts for Children event. Gifts for Children provides gifts to children who are treated in the University Health System, Christus Santa Rosa Children's Hospital, the PREMIEre Program and the community pediatrics' Children with AIDS Program during the holiday season.
