SIHG seeks faculty input at Feb. 1 meeting

The newly formed Students for International Health Group (SIHG) will hold its first meeting and brown bag luncheon at noon Thursday, Feb. 1, in lecture hall 3.104. All faculty and residents, who can serve as a resource for the students, are encouraged to attend.

The SIHG is composed of medical students working toward four major goals: to increase interest among their fellow students in international health issues, to have periodic brown bag discussions and presentations by Health Science Center or visiting faculty on topics of international health, to encourage their peers to participate in international health electives, and to interact with international medical students on campus.

Faculty and students will review the goals of the group and will discuss how faculty can assist the students in their efforts.
